Project presentation

The objective of the European cooperation project LOCALEAT is to provide territorial actors with practical solutions to make local food products a lever for local economic development and to relocate added value. The project, which will run for 2 years (2019-2021), is based on 5 strategic objectives:

Define the quality of a local product

Connect supply and demand

Develop communication, marketing and education on local food

Enhance and promote local food for everyone

Increase knowledge of the process of seafood supply in private and collective catering

It is through the creation of a technical toolbox that the actors of the territories will be aided in their goal to value of their production. The working seminars bringing together actors from each partnering European territory will enable them to carry out joint technical work and gain a better understanding of practices in France, Belgium, Sweden and Finland. To complete the project, a culinary contest involving chefs from each country will be organised in Finland.
